Dorothy Sadie BURT

She received her education in the Lone Rock schools and graduated from Lone Rock High School in 1936. She was active in sports. She lived in Lone Rock and moved to a farm north of Armstrong when she was nine years old. During this time she also lived with her aunt and uncle in Lone Rock until she graduated.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Clarence Raymond Enderson in Armstrong, Iowa. Following their marriage they lived on the Burt family farm for eight years and then moved to Estherville in 1945, where they raised two sons and a daughter. Dorothy was a house wife and very hard worker and an active member of the First Christian Church. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, sewing, camping, fishing, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, bowling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After retirement, Clarence and Dorothy enjoyed camping three winters in Texas and then their early retirement years were changed drastically when Dorothy was stricken with illness. Dorothy had been a resident of Rosewood Manor since January of 1997, where her great spirit and determination sustained her many years after becoming ill.
