Just to the north of Bowen on the Bruce Highway as we were heading south.

As we drove through the storm, the rain was so intense and the visibility so severely reduced, that I had to pull over until it passed.

These pictures are of the progress of a storm that looked really promising but only produced a "strange" shower.

The clouds came from the opposite direction to our "normal" storms for Kingaroy.

It slowly moved back from the North.

These pictures were taken near the bridge at the western end of River Road, on the way to the rubbish dump.

Much better rainfall, around 200mm, at the Bunya Mountains, which is the source of the Stuart River.

That flow plus local rain caused the results below.
